The historic centre

Beachfront in Bali costs the most and is worth it only if you'll use the beach daily. Check on the map exactly which stretch of sand the property fronts — 'beach nearby' can mean a fifteen-minute walk with a buggy.
Out of town
Around Bali, staying out of town buys you silence, dark skies and better value — but you'll need a car and you'll eat at the property most nights. Decide that trade-off before you book.
