Tokyo in 72 Hours

An honest itinerary that skips the queues and respects your jet lag.

Day one is for staying awake. Land, drop bags, find coffee in Shibuya, walk through Yoyogi Park, and eat ramen somewhere with a queue you can tolerate. Sleep at 9pm. No shame.

Day two: head west. Shimokitazawa for vintage shops and coffee, Daikanyama for the bookstore, Nakameguro for the canal. Dinner: izakaya, lots of small dishes, end with a highball.

Day three: temples and food. Sensō-ji at 7am before the buses arrive, then breakfast at Tsukiji outer market. Afternoon at TeamLab. Dinner: tempura or sushi omakase, your last big meal before the airport.
